Michael Turro is the Chief Compliance Officer at Magnetar. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the compliance function across the Firm’s core businesses to ensure Magnetar meets all regulatory requirements and maintains best industry standards and practices.
Prior to joining Magnetar in 2005, Michael served as Director of Equity Business Management for UBS AG for seven years and as its compliance officer for four years prior to that. Michael started his career with Pricewaterhouse, now PwC, before moving to National Futures Association, where he served as a compliance supervisor.
Michael earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, Management and Organizational Behavior from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting at Loyola University Chicago. He is a CPA.
